Helping Kiwis build PCs since ages ago. These builds are based on what's priced and in stock at New Zealand retailers.

No. The aim of these builds is to select the cheapest available parts (without being rubbish) to build the best possible PC for the chosen budget. If you prefer a different brand or part or have found a better deal, just substitute it!
I'm a lifelong PC enthusiast who listens and watches almost every PC hardware related video, podcast, news site so that you don't have to. I can't get enough of it and I'm happy to share my knowledge with you.
It's crazy how many people think this now, but no, I'm still manually updating it as I always have been.
Generally I wait until there is a reason to update. New hardware releases or older hardware being out of stock — that sort of thing. If it's a bit out of date, you can force me to update it by hitting the "Buy Me a Coffee" button.
Technically anyone could use them, but they are specifically tailored to available stock and pricing in New Zealand.
Both are valid options. This site sticks to a rule of using brand new, locally available parts, but if you are confident in sourcing from other places, all power to you.
I'm really glad this site helped you build a PC for yourself or your friends and family. It always floors me how many people take time to say thanks and that in itself is enough. But if you want to take it further, hit the "Buy me a coffee" button — every coffee I receive usually fuels an immediate update.
